34th Annual World Championship ICE Racing Series Set for February 6, 2010
The world’s top professional ice racers will travel to do battle in the Cincinnati round of the 34th-annual World Championship Ice Racing Series. Unleashed, lightning fast motorcycle ice racing at its best! This no-holds-barred motorsports competition features oval track racing’s thoroughbreds – manufacturer’s world cup motorcycles and the wild unlimited outlaw quads.
The bikes are state-of-the-art, lightweight, high-horsepower racing motorcycles that come from most of the major manufacturers. These crotch rockets are able to propel courageous racers 0-60mph in under three seconds! On ice!! It takes a brave soul to throw his leg over one of these exotic race bikes, especially for competition on ice, in the extremely tight confines of a hockey arena. The action is intense!
The unlimited outlaw quads are highly modified 4-wheel ATV’s. There are no rules governing engines in this wide open class. The outlaw quads are called: “the race cars you sit on – not in!” Whoever said that racing is not a contact sport obviously has never seen an ice unlimited outlaw quad race! The machines and their colorful riders must be seen to be believed.
Some twenty plus races will be contested at each championship round in approx 2 1/2 hours. When it’s over, champions will be crowned in each division competing. Valuable points will also be earned towards the all important overall world championship title chase.
Reserved seat tickets for adults are $15 and kids 12 and under are $5 (non VIP tickets). ALL tickets in the VIP seating area are priced at $25. All ticket prices go up $2 on the day of the event, so buy your tickets in advance and save!
